Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast
I can't believe it's happening - my first solo exhibition is up and running. How amazing to see the pieces I have created over the past five years, all in one space. 2021 was a challenging year for me as we moved from Taranaki to Tai Tokerau / Far North. But it was also a perfect time for exploring a beast that lives inside of me and loves to divide into self and other, good and bad, having and not having and so on. It's a beast that lives inside of each of us and what I found is that if we start embracing it, it reveals it's inherent beauty to us.

I believe this topic is more relevant than ever in times where horror and fear easily feed the separating mind. Join me on my journey into the space beyond dualistic perception. A journey guided by natural fibres and colours from the land.

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” Rumi

Here are a few snapshots from the gallery. Very soon I'm going to tell you more about each work in detail. Watch this site or follow me on Facebook or Instagram.
